Can you believe this year is almost at an end — and what a year it has been! To recap just a few highlights . . .
~All of our Furry Friends have turned THREE!
~Potty training was a HUGE success!
~SIX of our friends became Big Brothers & Big Sisters!
~EVERYONE can recognize their name!
~EVERYONE experienced the drive-thru WITHOUT apprehension!
I would say that is a recipe for a very successful year!
To finish out the year, our letter will be M, number is 9, our color is yellow and rectangle will be our shape. Our units will be Butterflies & Caterpillars, Mother's Day, Flowers and Review.
We hope you will join us in the Sanctuary of First United Methodist Church on May 6th for Child Enrichment Sunday. We will have a brief school-wide performance and then the children will be taken back to the classrooms so you can enjoy the Worship Service. On May 17th we will have our End of the Year program and perform once again school-wide in the Sanctuary. More info will come later.
Our class party will be on May 23rd and I would like to thank in advance our party Moms, Edi Redmond and Mary Keever. Then on May 24th, our last day of school, the ice cream truck will visit and we will indulge on some very sweet treats!
We are so appreciative for the donations of hand sanitizer, baby wipes, tissues, Clorox wipes, grocery bags, art supplies....to name a few and we can't thank you enough!
I would like to end by saying THANK YOU for trusting us with your children this year and sharing your most precious gifts! We have enjoyed watching them transform from the timid toddlers they were to the confident preschoolers they have become! We know that you are just as proud of them as they are of themselves! We pray that each of you has a wonderful, safe summer!
Peace & Blessings,
Mrs. Donna, Mrs. Emily & Mrs. Caytlyn

Spring is truly here! We have been blessed with some amazing weather which makes for some amazing playtime outside! Continue to send your child with a sweater or jacket as our playground can be chilly especially if it is overcast and/or windy. Unless it's raining, we WILL go outside every day. If the playground is too wet, there's always sidewalk chalk & bubbles in the driveway!
Our Furry Friends Family grew by leaps and bounds during the month of March! We would like to welcome to the Big SISTER club Reece, Hollis and Elly! Reece welcomed baby brother, Jack, while Hollis welcomed baby sister, Harper .... on the SAME DAY! Then as "luck" would have it, Elly welcomed baby sister, Francy, on St. Patrick's Day! WHEW!! Congratulations to all!
Our focus this month will be the letter B, number 8, color purple and our shape is the oval. Our units will be Easter (part 2), zoo and ocean life. We have a very short month but it is packed full!
Our Easter party will be on Thursday, April 5th and we would like to thank in advance our party Moms Sarah Franklin and Sara Hooven. We will have a class picture on April 26th. Plan ahead....Wednesday, May 3rd will be our family picnic at City Lake Park and Sunday, May 6th will be Child Enrichment Sunday at First United Methodist Church. More information on those events will come later.
We pray each of you have a wonderful, safe Easter holiday with your family! Every one of our Furry Friends learned our March bible verse and if they didn't share it with you, ask! To hear the words, "Jesus has risen from the dead!" out of the mouth of a precious child...YOUR child....will melt even the coldest of hearts! HAPPY EASTER!
Peace & Blessings,
Mrs. Donna, Mrs. Emily and Mrs. Caytlyn

DON'T FORGET:
Thursday, March 1st — Festival of Friends
Friday, March 2nd — School Closed for Teachers Workday
January without snow? Done! February without love? No Way!
I want to start this month's blog with some very special Welcomes! First I would like to welcome Callie to our 3-year old club! Happy Birthday, Callie! Next I would like to welcome Andrew into the Big Sibling Club! Andrew is now Big Brother to Baby Nathan. Our Furry Friends' families continue to grow and I hope Mrs. Myers is prepared for Baby Boom 2012!
And speaking of growing families, we have yet another announcement of our own —
Mrs. Emily and her husband, Patrick, are expecting!
Their daughter, Karly, will become a Big Sister in August!
Congratulations Sanders Family!
Our focus this month will be the letter V, number 6, color pink and our shape is the heart. Our units will be Teddy Bears, Valentine's Day, Circus, Dental Care and Shapes.
We will also begin Baby Grand Music class and will have it once a month from now on. This is new for me and the class but as much as this class loves music, it should be quite fun! Our Valentines party will be on February 14 and we would like to say Thank You in advance to our party Moms, Sara Hooven and Monica Stevens.
We have been transitioning to small Dixie cups for our juice & water at snack! Almost everyone has mastered the cup with minimal spills. Once you see their sippy cup come home in their bookbag, you will know your child has it mastered —so don't return it! They do NOT use sippy cups at CE after they leave this class.
Save the Date — Festival of Friends will be March 1! Packets went home last week with all the necessary information and forms. READ this information carefully as turn in dates of money and forms are a must! Should you have questions, call Mrs. Myers or one of the coordinators listed in your packet.
I want to once again say THANK YOU for your support of our new drop-at-the-door rule. The results have been a amazing! During conferences, I received only positive feedback regarding this change which only reinforced that this was not only the right decision but necessary! After talking with several Dads, I see the drive-thru SOON in the future of many of our Furry Friends!
Celebrate love this month! Not only with your family—that's easy—but extend love to others. I challenge each of you to actually LIVE out this month's bible verse . . .
SERVE EACH OTHER WITH LOVE. GALATIANS 5:13
Peace & Blessings,
Mrs. Donna, Mrs. Sierra, Mrs. Emily

P. S. If anyone is interested in donating to the classroom, we are in need of Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer.
I want say THANK YOU for your support and cooperation dropping our Furry Friends at our door last week. It made a tremendous difference in starting our day and all of our friends transitioned effortlessly. This rule will be ongoing. Again, thank you so much for respecting our decision.
Don't forget about conferences tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you at your scheduled times.
Peace & Blessings,
Mrs. Donna

Just a reminder — registration for current Child Enrichment families and FUMC members begins on January 18th. Registration opens to the public on January 25th. Mark your calendars and secure your spots in the 3-year old classes! Mrs. Myers has informed us that she does have a waiting list and there are no guarantees once it is opened to the public.
Also in the event of inclement weather, you may tune to FOX8 news or call the school for closings or delays.
HAPPY NEW YEAR to our FURRY FRIENDS & FAMILIES!
We trust each of you enjoyed your time spent with family and friends and that our Furry Friends are excited to get back to school. The New Year also puts into perspective that we are almost half way through our school year! We've met a few of our goals since our first day but we have so many more yet to achieve. So fasten your seatbelts my Furry Friends — we have work to do!
This month our focus will be the letter S, number 5, color blue and our shape is the triangle. Our units will be Winter Clothes, Snow/Winter, Penguins & Polar Bears and Farm.
We will be closed on Monday, January 16th for the Martin Luther King Holiday and also on Tuesday, January 17th for our parent conferences. You will be receiving more information regarding scheduled conference times once we return.
We would like to welcome Gracie and Olivia to our 3-year old club! We would also like to congratulate Zane on his Baby Sister, Lucy! All of our Furry Friends have grown so much since our first day. Gone are lovies and blankies! Gone are the diapers! Our Furry Friends are able to come in by themselves. Find their cubbies by themselves. And of course, run to the potty — all by themselves! We hope you are as proud of your BIG KIDS as we are.
Please don't forget to check your child's bag every day not only for their work but also important notes and reminders. If possible, please do not put anything extra in their bags so that their work won't end up crumpled and crushed. Remember, they have worked very hard on each and every piece!
Peace & Blessings,
Mrs. Donna, Mrs. Sierra and Mrs. Emily

(Exactly, WHAT is in the High Point water system?!)
CONGRATULATIONS SIERRA AND ALMA!
WE ARE SO HAPPY FOR YOU!
Now back to regular blogging already in progress . .
This month our focus will be the letter J, number 4, color green and our shape is the star. Our units will be Jesus is Coming, Christmas is for Giving and Christmas Magic.
Although our school month may be short, it is packed full of fun, exciting activities and we hope to sprinkle in a little learning! Don't forget that CE will close at 11:00 on Friday, Dec. 9th so that our Staff can celebrate Christmas. There will be no Lunch Bunch on Dec. 9th. On Dec. 14th, our Furry Friends can come dressed in their PJ's when we will have Breakfast with Santa! We will wrap up our festivities with our class party on Dec 15th. Thank you in advance Edi Redmond and Tucker Campbell, our party Moms! As if that weren't enough, this month we will welcome to our 3-year old club — Charlotte on Dec. 3rd and Hollis on Dec. 9th! WOW! Like I said, PACKED!
Our prayer this month is that as you celebrate with friends and family, please remember the true meaning of Christmas — Jesus! If you haven't had a birthday party for Jesus on Christmas morning, you are missing out on a wonderful way to begin your Christmas celebration and start a family tradition that your child will never forget!
We also pray for safe travels and good health for you and your families. Take the time to see Christmas through your child's eyes. Their excitement is contagious!
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Peace and Blessings,
Mrs. Donna, Mrs. Sierra and Mrs. Emily
